If you’re like us, you’re probably missing your trips to the Disney and Universal theme parks. However, just because you can’t physically go to the parks, it doesn’t mean you can’t enchant yourself with a pinch of these spellbinding land’s magic right at your very own home!

Universal Hollywood, Orlando, and Japan are all home to the wizarding world of Harry Potter, where one can sample a libation fit for only the finest witches and wizards: butterbeer! Now, you may not be able to visit these lands right at this moment, but don’t fret–because we have recipes for a hot, cold, and frozen version of the refreshment that’ll make you feel as if you hopped on a broomstick yourself to fly to one of these theme park’s marvelous worlds.

HOT BUTTERBEER RECIPE

This first recipe from The Tip Toe Fairy is perfect for those cool nights at home as it’s sure to keep you warm and cozy!

Hot Butterbeer Ingredients

• 2 cups milk

• ¼ cup butter

• ¼ cup brown sugar

• 2-3 tablespoons hot butterscotch topping

• 1 cup cream soda

When I first started going to the parks, I always went to the same crowded locations or waited in the heat because I didn't realize how many places you could get butterbeer in the parks! ? But through the years I've learned how to skip the lines by scoping out each location and I had to pass along the info to help out the Potter fam! ? Now, you know I'm going to ask, which butterbeer variety is your favorite? ✨

Instructions:

1. Start by whisking together your milk, butter, and brown sugar and then heat this mix in the microwave for 3 minutes. Stir and heat for another 3-4 minutes until the milk is foaming.

2. Next, remove from the mix from the microwave and whisk once again until the butter is fully mixed in and the sugar has completely dissolved.

3. Now it’s time to heat the butterscotch topping for 20 seconds. Then, stir in 2 tablespoons of the topping into the milk mixture.

4. Then add 1 cup of cream soda (or root beer if you’re switching it up).

5. Finish off your bewitching drink by topping it off with the remaining butterscotch topping and enjoy!

COLD BUTTERBEER RECIPE

This next recipe from Delish is the perfect drink for when your entranced in the summer’s heat but are also in the mood for something sweet.

• 4 cans cream soda

• ¼ cup butterscotch syrup

• 1 cup heavy cream

What’s your record number of Butterbeers consumed in one day? ? I think mine is 8 if you include Butterbeer in all forms (hot, cold, frozen, fudge, potted cream, ice cream) lololol I had a sugar high for 12 hrs straight ?

1. Begin by mixing together your cream soda and butterscotch syrup.

2. Next, in a stand mixer, beat the cream until stiff peaks form. If you do not have a stand mixer you can also just keep whisking it for 10-15 minutes. Then, fold in the sugar, vanilla extract, and butter and mix until they’re all fully combined.

3. Finish the drink by ladling the cream soda and butter syrup mixture in a glass filled with ice and top it off with whipped cream and serve.

FROZEN BUTTERBEER RECIPE

• 2 cups Ready Whip

• 4 tablespoons of caramel or butterscotch topping

Instructions

1. Begin by pouring the cream soda into a freezer-safe container. Then, let it sit out on your counter for about 2 hours.

2. Next, stir in the melted butter.

3. Then, freeze the mixture for at least 2 hours or overnight.

4. When your whimsical mix is frozen, scoop about ½ cup of soda into a mug and top it off with a half of a cup of whipped cream.

5. Finish the drink off with a drizzle of caramel or butterscotch topping!
