Where are the hunt boards in FFXIV? ›

Hunt bills are pinned on the notice boards in all three headquarters of the Grand Companies, by Clan Centurio outside the Forgotten Knight in Ishgard, Rhalgr's Reach, and outside the Shiokaze Hostelry in Kugane, and by Clan Nutsy in the Crystarium and Eulmore.

Note that you must have completed the level 60 quest Elite and Dangerous in Ishgard to unlock hunts. If you skipped the main scenario to start Dawntrail, you'll have to spend some time reaching Second Lieutenant rank in your Grand Company, then complete the hunt side quests in your company's home city, then in Ishgard.

You will find a total of thirty-two Notorious Mark beasts on the Hunt Board during your FFXVI playthrough, though more will only become available as your progress through the main and side stories.

Hunts can't move into a spot that another hunt has claimed even if it's dead. With both A-Ranks up, you kill the B-Rank and it will move to a new spot on the map each time, except for where the S-Rank will spawn. By marking each spot you kill the B-Rank, you'll narrow down where the S-Rank spawns.

Weekly reset for FFXIV occurs on Tuesdays, at a different time than daily reset time: 1 a.m. PDT for the west coast of North America. 4 a.m. EDT for the east coast of North America.

The Elite Hunter will tell the player on which island the Elite Pirate has spawned. The Elite Pirates have a respawn time of 9 minutes, and the quest will be available after 1 minute.

Unlocking Grand Hunts requires Renown 5 with the Maruuk Centaur, and unlocking it once will unlock it for all characters on your account. Grand Hunts are always active, moving around zones in the Dragon Isles every 2 hours.

To unlock this content, pick up the level 36 quest "Treasures and Tribulations" with H'loonh (X: 21.1 Y: 21.1) in Eastern La Noscea.

Hunts have been around in Final Fantasy 14 since patch 2.3, Defenders of Eorzea, and have always been a decent way to earn extra experience and fight new, formidable foes.

Many players report that if you just beeline the main scenario quest only and don't focus on any other aspect of the game, you're looking at about 40-60 hours just to beat the base game, A Realm Reborn. Each expansion adds about 40-50 hours of content in story.

This quest begins sometime after finishing the I Fought The Law side job, and River Ward will contact you and ask for your assistance with a new case, so you must meet him near the NCPD offices.

Go to the Hunt Board and talk to Nektar. Choose the Ask about griffin sightings dialogue option to find about the griffin Dozmare's whereabouts. To locate the griffin, fast travel to Lostwing then head to Caer Norvent River Gate. There, you'll encounter Dozmare.

After the first point-of-no-return prompt in the main story, you'll come across the first marked monster during The Gathering Storm quest. Once you return to the hideout after this quest, you'll unlock the Hunt Board.

After completing the “The Gathering Storm” main story quest, you'll unlock the Hunt Board in the Hideaway. Interact with Nektar the moogle to see which hunts are available for you. As you progress in the main story, you'll unlock more bounties to track down at the Hunt Board.
